Mechanic Millwright

Responsibilities

• Install, move, reconstruct, repair, and rebuild machines and major site equipment.
• Perform day-to-day repair, modification, and replacement of Test Loops.
• Execute preventative maintenance (PM) work, including precision laser alignment.
• Manufacture machine repair parts as required using various machining equipment.
• Operate a variety of tools including lathes, milling machines, boring mills, pneumatic winches, and precision levels.
• Work with diverse materials such as structural steel, bar and flat stock, and various metal joining materials.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a four-year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology.
• Four years of experience in the Mechanic Millwright repair field.
• Proven machining experience with equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and boring mills.
• Must be a US citizen due to DoD requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.
