Mechanic Master

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial process equipment to improve uptime and reliability
• Mentor and coach entry-level technicians and trainees in millwright and mechanical technician crafts
• Apply industrial safety requirements, including ISO and Responsible Care (RC) standards
• Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to maintain rotating and reciprocating equipment
• Interpret equipment maintenance instructions, blueprints, P&IDs, and schematic diagrams
• Complete repair and replacement of faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
• Utilize SAP R11 for work orders, material procurement, and tracking maintenance KPIs
• Document all repair activities and identify continuous improvement opportunities

Requirements

• High-school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Master-level skill in Millwright/Mechanic craft, demonstrated through vocational training or recognized certification
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Experience with laser alignment tools and high-precision machining or milling
• Basic welding and torch skills
• Proficiency with computers and SAP software
• Physical agility for climbing ladders, working on scaffolding, and entering confined spaces
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a rotating shift environment, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specific rotating equipment such as agitators, pumps, valves, gearboxes, and centrifuges
• Advanced knowledge of metallurgy and precision maintenance techniques
