Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various types of equipment on vessels
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including hydraulic leaks
• Service main engines, gears, and generator engines
• Manage maintenance tasks on vessels using the HELM system
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure safe and efficient operations through compliance with company policies and safety systems
• Perform other duties as assigned, with approximately 80% of duties performed on the water

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• 0-2 years of relative mechanical experience; marine industry experience is a plus
• Basic mechanical background and proficiency with hand and power tools
• Knowledge of diesel engines and vessels
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
