Mechanic II

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain sewing and production equipment using blueprints and diagrams
• Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment through observation and testing
• Repair or replace defective parts and manage parts ordering
• Report serious or repetitive equipment problems to management
• Assist in establishing safety, housekeeping, and preventative guidelines
• Act as an informal resource for Mechanic I associates
• Provide backup for building and facilities maintenance as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of mechanic or machine maintenance experience
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic systems
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and preventative maintenance programs
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology
• Experience in a production or Lean manufacturing environment
• Experience with PLC, robotics, or Vision Technology software
