About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support production by troubleshooting equipment downtime involving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic breakdowns
  • Respond to breakdown calls and work independently or under the instruction of the reliability engineer
  • Maintain downtime reports and work orders within the computerized maintenance system (MVP)
  • Assist in the operational debug of machine mechanical systems and related components
  • Help engineers with machine validation both internally and at customer facilities
  • Conceptualize, design, build, and implement simple to intermediate mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose systems including motors, bearings, valves, and fluid transfer systems

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5–7 years of related experience or technical training in mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in welding, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and plumbing
  • Experience with machine shop tool usage
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical instructions
  • Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate ratios, proportions, and volume
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in maintenance engineering
