About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform sheet metal installation and fabrication using various materials and fastening methods
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly schematics
- Train assemblers and sheet metal installers in production and quality standards
- Operate pneumatic and power tools, including drills, screw guns, sanders, and jig saws
- Utilize hydraulic shears, press brakes, and punches safely
- Maintain high QA/QC standards and meet production time goals
- Follow all safety, 5S, OSHA, and EPA standards, including proper hazardous waste handling
Requirements
- One year of sheet metal experience in body fabrication
- Ability to read, write, and communicate instructions in English
- Proficiency in using measuring devices and reading metric tape measures
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions (standing, kneeling, bending)
- Ability to work in high-temperature (up to 105 degrees), noisy, and dusty environments
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
