Mechanic Equipment

Responsibilities

• Detect equipment irregularities through visual inspections
• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure normal operational schedules
• Use various technical tools and equipment for maintenance and minor repairs
• Inspect equipment for reported malfunctions and carry out required repairs
• Maintain necessary maintenance records and ensure good housekeeping in work areas
• Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA, and MSHA safety rules and regulations
• Coordinate and oversee the work of other maintenance and plant personnel during repair jobs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working with similar equipment or machinery
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, including back x-ray, hearing test, and drug/alcohol screen
• Strong mathematical skills, including fractions and unit conversions
• Ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills are a plus
