Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Maintain modern fleet of trucks and trailers
• Perform servicing and repairs in accordance with maintenance schedules, manuals, and NHVAS requirements
• Ensure equipment is maintained and presented to the highest possible standard
• Maintain high safety standards within workshop areas
• Report maintenance, non-conformances, and safety matters to the Workshop Supervisor
• Accurately complete servicing and repair paperwork
• Participate in Pre-Start meetings, Toolbox meetings, and risk assessments
• Manage regional fleet vehicles, including callouts for asset breakdowns

Requirements

• Heavy automotive trade certificate
• Qualified Mechanic with sound mechanical knowledge
• Experience in servicing and preventative maintenance
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• High standard of work ethic and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• HR/HC License and fuel maintenance knowledge
• Previous experience in transport or mining industries
• Experience servicing heavy vehicle trucks and trailers
• Knowledge of outlined servicing and maintenance schedules
