About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain modern fleet of trucks and trailers
- Perform servicing and repairs in accordance with maintenance schedules, manuals, and NHVAS requirements
- Ensure equipment is maintained and presented to the highest possible standard
- Maintain high safety standards within workshop areas
- Report maintenance, non-conformances, and safety matters to the Workshop Supervisor
- Accurately complete servicing and repair paperwork
- Participate in Pre-Start meetings, Toolbox meetings, and risk assessments
- Manage regional fleet vehicles, including callouts for asset breakdowns
Requirements
- Heavy automotive trade certificate
- Qualified Mechanic with sound mechanical knowledge
- Experience in servicing and preventative maintenance
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- High standard of work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- HR/HC License and fuel maintenance knowledge
- Previous experience in transport or mining industries
- Experience servicing heavy vehicle trucks and trailers
- Knowledge of outlined servicing and maintenance schedules
