Mechanic- CRT

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership and a Total Ownership attitude; maintain safety standards.
• Enforce and follow company policies, procedures, and HSE expectations.
• Perform installation, maintenance, inspection, preventative and corrective repairs on engines, hydraulic motors, pumps, compressors and other mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and analyze failures; read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs and schematics.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and enter maintenance and repair data into the CMMS.
• Create job requests and work orders; coordinate with Rig Superintendent/Maintenance Lead for repairs and refurbishment.
• Supervise and ensure safety of those under direct supervision; support emergency response and drills.
• Operate metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, grinder) and perform welding/fit-up as required.
• Manage spare parts inventory, submit requisitions and maintain records within budget guidelines.
• Support Operations Readiness and Assurance activities during pre-operations and shipyard phases.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Qualifications in mechanical or electronic applications or demonstrated rig operations experience.
• 5-10 years relevant experience with mechanical, electronic or hydraulic equipment, preferably in rig/drilling operations.
• Working knowledge of tubular handling equipment (power tongs, elevators, slips, control panels, hydraulic power units).
• Competency in rigging and safe lifting operations; Authorized to Operate (ATO) / Approved Competent Operator (ACO) familiarity is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work without close supervision, prioritize tasks under time constraints, and communicate effectively in English.
