Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles and truck bodies
• Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to ensure fleet safety and compliance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Maintain accurate service records using fleet management systems
• Support workshop safety and cleanliness in line with WHS policies
• Carry out basic welding and grinding work as required

Requirements

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of hydraulics and electrics
• Experience with fleet maintenance and running repairs
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently and cost-effectively
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid HR licence
