Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, inspection, and repair on fixed and rotating equipment including vessels, valves, piping, pumps, and compressors.
• Troubleshoot performance issues on air compressors, electric motors, and basic control systems.
• Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.
• Inspect safety and regulatory critical equipment such as flares, pressure relief valves (PRVs), and wellhead critical valves.
• Execute alignment activities on pumps and compressors and perform equipment overhauls per manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including work order history, as-found/as-left data, and safety permits.
• Adhere to all EHS procedures, including energy isolation, permit to work, and safe work practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Industrial or Oilfield experience.
• 3+ years of mechanical experience specifically with reciprocating and centrifugal gas compressors, internal combustion engines, and pumps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical degree.
• Strong SAP skills for managing work orders and materials.
• Experience operating precision machinist tools, forklifts, bridge cranes, or JLG equipment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS procedures such as Permit to Work and Energy Isolation.
• Ability to work an 8 on 6 off schedule and support rotating call-outs.
• Ability to work in various North Dakota weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
