Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and repair mobile equipment problems using generally accepted methods
• Perform routine scheduled maintenance as outlined on PM checklist sheets
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and components
• Disassemble components, inspect parts for wear, and determine causes of failure
• Inspect and replace parts such as hydraulic pumps, hoses, pins, bushings, alternators, and batteries
• Perform welding and cutting tasks as required
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe working areas and tools
• Comply with all company safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment

Requirements

• 2-year Technical school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar industry
• Strong mechanical and basic electrical skills
• Ability to perform welding and cutting
• Must own personal tools (including sockets up to ¾” drive, wrenches up to 2 ½”, hammers, and pry bars)
• Ability to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks like climbing and pushing
