About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnosing equipment failures under the supervision of a mechanic or supervisor
- Repair heavy machinery including excavators, snow plows, graders, tandem trucks, and loaders
- Support the provincial preventative maintenance program
- Work with various electronic controls and computer diagnostics
Requirements
- Successful completion of a recognized Heavy Duty Equipment Repair program
- Self-motivated and engaged professional attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments
- Effective team player with professional communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Work experience in trades, such as the operation of heavy trucks and equipment
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety
- Valid First Aid and WHMIS certification
