ME Welding Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement activities to enhance production productivity and quality
• Perform robot teaching and maintain welding parameters for existing production and new projects
• Ensure stable welding processes and high-quality output
• Cooperate with Regional IE on machine concepts, layouts, and equipment procurement
• Act as the welding project leader at the plant level
• Optimize welding process parameters using statistical methods to increase process capability
• Support maintenance activities to reduce downtime rates
• Maintain and update technical documentation including PFMEA, WI, and mistake-proofing measures
• Support the maintenance and insurance of tooling, fixtures, and spare parts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in welding or mechanical engineering
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in MAG welding processes within the automotive industry
• Proven experience in resistance welding, pressing, mistake-proofing, and tool/fixture design
• Specialized knowledge in robot teaching and Panasonic welding parameter adjustment
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, Minitab, and SAP
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Pro-active, mature, and dynamic professional with strong teamwork skills
