MDU Estimator

Responsibilities

• Provide site surveys for potential full building installs at MDU buildings
• Estimate costs for parts, labor, and associated expenses
• Create, update, and maintain internal project estimates, maps, and documents
• Design installation plans using PowerPoint or Adobe design tools
• Apply for and maintain necessary permits
• Coordinate with MDU Foreman and Sales teams to ensure project alignment
• Perform cost analysis and estimate time and materials for installations
• Read and interpret building blueprints and fiber cable designs

Requirements

• Previous project estimating experience
• Knowledge of telecom outside plant work or related fields preferred
• Ability to read and understand building blueprints
• Basic understanding of fiber cable types and GPON fiber design
• Valid California Driver’s License (held for at least three years) with a clean DMV record
• Ability to lift and move up to 80 pounds
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project preferred
