MDG Data Engineer (SAP Master Data Governance)

Responsibilities

• Configure and enhance SAP MDG data models including Business Partner, Material, Finance, and Asset/EAM objects
• Implement MDG Central Governance processes, including Change Request (CR) types, workflow design, and business rules
• Configure Fiori and UI components to support MDG processes
• Manage and support MDG replication using the Data Replication Framework (DRF) to SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP systems
• Support initial data loads and ongoing data migration into MDG and S/4HANA
• Collaborate with Data Services and ETL teams to ensure alignment between MDG staging and target systems
• Implement and enforce data quality rules, validations, and mandatory field logic
• Troubleshoot and resolve MDG data quality, workflow, and replication issues across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD environments

Requirements

• 4-10 years of hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
• Solid understanding of MDG data models and the Change Request framework
• Proficiency in workflow configuration, business rules, and validations
• Experience with DRF replication and MDG integration patterns
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA master data objects (BP, Material, Finance, EAM)
• Experience supporting data conversion or migration initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SAP Data Services (BODS) or similar ETL tools
• Experience in multi-instance S/4HANA landscapes
• Exposure to Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) MDG extensions
• Prior experience in large SAP transformation or Digital Core programs
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and operating models
