MDF Finishing Operator Trainee

Responsibilities

• Train to perform operator roles in the MDF finishing area including Energy Plant, Refiner, and Press Operator
• Assist equipment operators with daily tasks
• Perform assignments in accordance with PDM
• Conduct routine and complicated equipment checks
• Maintain a clean and organized production area

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions
• Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery
• Ability to work with electric, pneumatic, or hand tools
• Ability to be trained and certified for forklift operation
• Ability to comprehend and manipulate metric measurements
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to work without constant supervision
• Ability to problem-solve individually or in groups
• Ability to work in extreme heat and cold
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a safe but rapid pace

Preferred Qualifications

• Perfect or near-perfect attendance record
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Availability for rotating shifts
