MC DG Driver I Kalgoorlie

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and lawful transport of explosive materials in accordance with dangerous goods legislation and customer requirements
• Maintain strict Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance, including fatigue management, speed, and load security
• Manage the security of consignments through strict access control, vehicle monitoring, and reporting of irregularities
• Comply with all mine site procedures, exclusion zones, and site access requirements
• Protect people, infrastructure, and the environment through disciplined driving and proactive risk management
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication for regulatory and audit purposes

Requirements

• Unrestricted Multi Combination (MC) licence with at least 3 years of road train experience
• Current and valid Class 1 Explosive Driver qualification
• Current Dangerous Goods / Explosives Driver accreditation (or the ability to obtain one)
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles in mining, resources, or industrial environments
• Proven understanding of explosives transport requirements, including load security and segregation controls
• Practical experience working under Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on remote or regional mine sites
• Experience transporting explosives to magazines, blast sites, and operational areas
• Experience participating in audits or regulator interactions related to dangerous goods
