About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and own the enterprise architecture for IBM Maximo solutions, including high-level design, integration patterns, and scalability frameworks
- Lead strategic road mapping and modernization efforts, such as migrations from Maximo 7.6 to MAS 8.x/9.x
- Architect end-to-end integrations using MIF, MEA, OSLC, and REST APIs for ERP, GIS, and IoT platforms
- Provide architectural governance by reviewing detailed designs and ensuring alignment with IBM best practices and enterprise IT policies
- Lead technical decision-making regarding performance optimization, security architecture, and cloud-native deployments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business vision into technical architecture and value realization
Requirements
- 12-15 years of progressive experience with IBM Maximo
- 6+ years of experience in architect-level roles leading enterprise-scale implementations and transformations
- Extensive expertise in Maximo versions 7.1-7.6 and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8.x/9.x
- Deep knowledge of Maximo core architecture, data models, and extensibility points
- Proficiency in integration technologies including MIF, MEA, REST/OSLC, and web services
- Strong database design skills with experience in DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience with cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Preferred Qualifications
- IBM Certified Solution Architect certification
- Familiarity with GIS (Esri), SCADA, and ERP integrations
- Domain expertise in utilities, energy, oil & gas, or manufacturing
- Experience leading architecture practices, Centers of Excellence (COEs), or governance boards
- Exposure to agile and DevOps methodologies in large-scale EAM programs
