Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teaching mathematics
• Preparing lesson units and creating teaching materials
• Conducting examinations and assessing performance
• Preparing students for the (specialized) Abitur
• Regularly assessing learning progress and development processes
• Actively participating in conferences, school life, and school/class projects

Requirements

• Trained secondary school teacher (Gymnasiallehrkraft) for Mathematics
• Minimum of 1st State Examination or teaching qualification for Fachoberschule
• Master's degree for career changers (must be completed by school year 2026/2027)
• Proof of pedagogical suitability for subject specialists
• Enjoyment in working with young adults
• Ability to work independently and high level of initiative

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience
• Interest in or experience with Montessori pedagogy
