Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities

• Foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment for Cycle 2 students (Grades 5-8)
• Deliver high-quality mathematics instruction adhering to ADEK standards and international best practices
• Design and implement differentiated instruction to cater to diverse learning needs, including EAL and SEND students
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to track student progress and inform future teaching
• Use educational technology and Learning Management Systems such as Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams to enhance learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and share best practices within the academic department
• Participate in the wider school community and contribute to extra-curricular STEM or mathematics activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education with a Mathematics specialization, or a closely related field
• A recognized postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed, M.Ed) or a valid teaching license from a Western country
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in Cycle 2 (Grades 5-8) or equivalent
• Proven experience teaching British, American, or IB (MYP) curricula
• Strong classroom management skills and proficiency in educational technology
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to obtain UAE security clearances and meet all requirements for a UAE employment visa

Preferred Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK or equivalent certification
• Previous experience working within an international school setting
• Demonstrated track record of raising student attainment levels
