Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, challenging, and relevant mathematics lessons for Cycle 3 (Grades 9-12).
• Foster a deep understanding and love for mathematics while promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students for external examinations including IGCSE, A-Levels, AP Calculus/Statistics, or IB DP Mathematics.
• Utilize educational technology such as graphing calculators, interactive whiteboards, and VLEs (Canvas/Google Classroom) to enhance learning.
• Implement differentiated instruction and use data tracking to meet individual student needs.
• Maintain exceptional classroom management and promote a positive, productive learning environment.
• Collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues within a diverse, multinational school community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related quantitative field.
• PGCE or an equivalent professional teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience at the secondary level (Grades 9-12).
• Proven experience teaching international curricula such as IGCSE, A-Levels, AP, or IB DP.
• All academic qualifications must be officially attested for UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) equivalency.
• Ability to obtain ADEK Teacher License approval.
• Strong commitment to child safeguarding policies and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching within an international school setting with a diverse student population.
• Specific experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (Analysis and Approaches / Applications and Interpretation).
• Familiarity with inquiry-based and project-based learning methodologies.
