Mathematics and Statistics Outreach Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and continuously improve the School’s mathematics and statistics outreach strategy, programs, and resources
• Manage, mentor, and support Outreach Officers and contributors to foster a high-performing team
• Develop and deliver large-scale national and international initiatives for primary and secondary students, focusing on underrepresented groups
• Collaborate with academics and external partners to create programs that showcase research strengths
• Oversee administration, budgeting, communications, and data evaluation to ensure evidence-informed outreach activities

Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in mathematics, statistics, or education (or equivalent relevant expertise)
• Proven experience in science communication and delivering engaging outreach sessions
• Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience
• Strong skills in program administration, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to design innovative learning experiences for diverse audiences
• Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
