Math SAT Prep Instructor

Responsibilities

• Prepare engaging Math SAT Prep lessons to meet students’ needs
• Explicitly teach students about the structure of the SAT Math sections and strategies on how to improve their scores
• Review student level data from mock exams and adapt lesson plans based on assessments and students’ skills
• Connect with students from diverse backgrounds and educational experiences to maximize their academic potential
• Collaborate with a TEACH Program Manager to grow as an instructor and check in on student progress
• Attend monthly virtual professional development with TEACH
• Communicate with TEACH office staff and parents/guardians to coordinate tutoring lessons
• Submit time-sensitive information using the company database and online documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• 2 years of experience teaching Math SAT prep in a classroom setting
• Understanding of student-centered learning practices and ACT/SAT Test Taking Strategies
• Ability to travel locally in Greater Philadelphia for in-person lessons
• Ability to complete federal and PA state background checks and clearances
• Must live in PA or NJ

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's in education and/or teaching certification in math
• 5+ years of experience tutoring or teaching in a 1-on-1, small group, or classroom setting
• Expertise in ACT Math/Science Test Prep
