About the role
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging math curriculum using company-created materials designed for advanced students
- Lead small classes of up to 16 students, fostering an environment of student-led learning
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a productive learning atmosphere
- Grade assessments and provide constructive feedback to students
- Build positive relationships with students and families to support their educational journey
- Inspire a love for critical thinking and mathematical problem-solving
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Strong content knowledge in mathematics
- Experience in teaching or tutoring students
- Availability to work weekday evenings (starting as early as 4pm) and/or weekends
- Ability to work onsite at our San Mateo, CA campus
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related or educational field
- Experience working with advanced learners in grades 1-12
