Math Grading Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of Grading Operations Specialists, part-time graders, releasers, and plagiarism reviewers
• Own accountability for grading quality, efficiency, and turnaround SLAs across all AoPS offerings
• Build a high-performing team culture through regular feedback, coaching, and structured performance management
• Optimize grading workflows and academic integrity procedures to improve outcomes at scale
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Product, and Curriculum teams to coordinate delivery
• Lead hiring and onboarding processes for all grading and review staff
• Participate in regular grading and plagiarism reviews to maintain direct familiarity with day-to-day operations
• Support Customer Service and broader Education team needs regarding grading and feedback inquiries

Requirements

• Solid academic background in mathematics
• Strong understanding of math pedagogy and written homework feedback best practices
• Proven operational, people, and project management skills
• Proficiency in Google Suite, with advanced knowledge of Google Sheets
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage complicated processes across multiple product lines

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with AoPS offerings
• Experience managing remote or part-time staff
