About the role
Responsibilities
- Design clear, engaging, and interactive math questions for grades 6-12 to meet specific educational objectives
- Write helpful, age-appropriate, and mathematically sound explanations of complex concepts
- Collaborate with visual designers, curriculum peers, and company leadership to determine effective curricular strategies
- Research and review IXL's alignment to educational standards, common assessments, and popular textbooks
- Develop and manage project plans to ensure high-quality math content is delivered within set deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field
- High school or collegiate math teaching experience, including expertise in precalculus, calculus, or statistics
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly
- Highly self-motivated with superb attention to detail and a growth mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in curriculum development
- Advanced degree in mathematics or education
