Math Content Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, planning, and pedagogy support to teachers and school-based coaches to improve mathematics outcomes.
• Analyze state standards, assessment data, and instructional practices to identify opportunities for improved student outcomes.
• Facilitate the design and implementation of scaffolded, standards-aligned instruction across classrooms and schools.
• Model high-impact instructional strategies and demonstrate effective classroom practices aligned to district initiatives.
• Coach teachers and instructional leaders through observation, feedback, goal setting, and continuous improvement processes.
• Develop and lead professional development for teachers and staff.
• Guide teachers in the development of instructional plans, lesson pacing, and differentiated instruction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Mathematics endorsement, specialization, or demonstrated expertise in elementary mathematics instruction.
• 5+ years of professional experience coaching teachers, coaches, or leading adults.
• Strong understanding of elementary mathematics instruction and subject area expertise.
• Ability to travel 4-5 days a week to client and/or school sites within Hillsborough County and the Greater Tampa Bay Area.
• Excellent listening, observation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Advanced degree in education or a related field.
