Math Associate Instructor

Responsibilities

• Co-teach four periods of Math coursework following provided lesson plans
• Facilitate the use of technological resources for instruction
• Internalize and practice all lesson materials prior to teaching
• Implement adjustments to pacing and activities based on student needs
• Project an energetic and approachable persona to promote student engagement
• Calculate grades according to rubrics and provide actionable feedback
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and attend scheduled meetings and professional development
• Meet with instructional coaches to implement feedback from classroom observations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a content-related field
• High school classroom teaching experience
• Proficiency with technological learning systems
• Understanding of student-centered pedagogy
• Expertise in advanced high school-level Mathematics (Algebra & Trigonometry)

Preferred Qualifications

• Secondary Education Degree and Certification
• Knowledge and experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
• Certifications or tertiary education in Instructional Technologies
• Eagerness to engage in conversations regarding societal challenges
