About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite clinical instruction for the Maternal-Child Nursing course within the BSN program.
- Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
- Deliver documented feedback to students regarding performance based on course objectives.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs.
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintain current knowledge of agency and clinical policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the course coordinator and dean regarding student and agency concerns.
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Kansas.
- At least two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years.
- Subject matter expertise in maternal-child nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
