Maternal Child Clinical Faculty

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite clinical instruction for the Maternal-Child Nursing course within the BSN program.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Deliver documented feedback to students regarding performance based on course objectives.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs.
• Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintain current knowledge of agency and clinical policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with the course coordinator and dean regarding student and agency concerns.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Kansas.
• At least two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years.
• Subject matter expertise in maternal-child nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
