About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and clinical instruction for nursing students in a clinical setting
- Plan clinical experiences and develop written clinical assignments consistent with student learning needs
- Evaluate student performance and provide documented feedback and remediation as required
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintain current knowledge of agency clinical policies and procedures
- Serve as a professional role model and contribute to the ongoing development of the nursing program
Requirements
- Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
- Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oregon
- At least two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years
- Subject matter expertise in maternal-child nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in teaching or precepting nursing students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
