Materials Technician II

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services related to purchasing, material accounting, inventory control, and equipment parts history
• Perform shipping and receiving functions, including checking for correctness, damage, or loss
• Prepare receiving reports and forward them to the Plant Administrator for invoice processing
• Manage inventory by putting materials into stock and updating inventory software
• Notify requesters upon the receipt of materials
• Prioritize and execute responsibilities for specific trades or functional areas under general supervision
• Assist with orienting and training employees in moderately complex areas

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (trade school, military service, or technical training programs)
• 2-5 years of directly related experience in material control at a power generation or process plant
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel occasionally to expedite material acquisition
