Materials Technical Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day program execution within the Materials Science experiment team
• Maintain project plans, track milestones, and ensure agentic science programs are delivered
• Serve as the primary operational interface between Materials Science and platform partners (Automation, ML, Engineering)
• Translate scientific program goals into structured workstreams for autonomous experimentation
• Run program rituals including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Partner with domain leads to surface and resolve blockers, risks, and interdependencies
• Support commercial contract delivery by working with Product & Revenue teams
• Contribute to capacity planning and resource coordination

Requirements

• 10+ years of program or project management experience in materials science, advanced manufacturing, or deep tech
• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Track record of managing multiple concurrent programs in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Experience in early-stage startups is a strong plus
• Ability to coordinate across scientific and operational stakeholders
• Scientific fluency to understand and communicate Materials Science program goals
• Experience supporting commercial program delivery and external partners
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, or Jira
• PMP, PgMP, or agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe)
