About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee work assignments for Material Handlers and delegate job priorities based on workload.
  • Ensure personnel execute duties in compliance with all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality procedures.
  • Communicate with department management and shipping associates regarding accuracy, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Assist with problem-solving for shipping personnel, including scanning and case location inquiries.
  • Support the planning and execution of quarterly physical inventories.
  • Perform root cause analysis when mistakes are discovered and conduct regular 6S audits.
  • Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move products as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years of warehouse experience.
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training in a leadership or materials role.
  • Proven ability to operate a forklift.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 200lbs and 800lbs.
  • Ability to work occasional heavy overtime and extended hours, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Experience using AS400 systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other web-based software applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment in unexpected situations.
