Materials Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound shipments, material movement, and storage/control of materials
• Manage material inventory, spot checks, and daily cycle count programs
• Implement continuous improvement processes, including Supermarkets, Kanbans, and visual management systems
• Create, train, and implement standard work and SOPs to improve material control and waste reduction
• Manage departmental KPIs, labor requirements, and material flow
• Train, evaluate, and motivate staff to enhance performance and development
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by implementing safety and security procedures
• Partner with cross-functional teams (purchasing, finance, customer service) to resolve issues and improve programs

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Logistics
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated negotiation, facilitation, and effective communication skills
