Materials Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise material purchasing, planning, production planning, inventory control, and shipping/receiving functions
• Lead the team to meet key performance metrics regarding delivery, inventory, cost, and quality
• Develop and optimize material management procedures and improve operating system maturity
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols
• Manage facility supply requirements and engage in new production introduction (NPI) activities
• Coach, develop, and train team members to build capability and retain top talent
• Manage team timekeeping and apply appropriate corrective actions for performance or attendance

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role
• 5+ years of experience in a shipping/distribution center setting
• 8+ years of experience working with WMS systems and/or Microsoft Excel
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Oracle or ADP for timekeeping purposes
• Distribution experience within a retail, customer-centric organization
• Knowledge of Sigma or Lean management principles
• Proven ability to motivate team members and drive organizational change
