Materials Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all material control operations, including warehouse and laydown yard activities for a major data center construction project
• Oversee laydown yard setup, organization, and daily operations to ensure efficient material flow and accessibility
• Supervise material handling activities, including the use of telehandlers, cranes, and other equipment
• Manage receipt, inspection, storage, tracking, and distribution of key commodities such as pipe, structural steel, electrical materials, and mechanical equipment
• Coordinate field material deliveries to support construction sequencing and prevent work stoppages
• Maintain accurate inventory control systems to track inbound/outbound materials and minimize loss or damage
• Partner with procurement, vendors, and project leadership to align material planning with construction schedules
• Enforce site-specific material management procedures and safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, construction management, or equivalent experience
• 5–10 years of experience in material management, warehouse operations, or construction logistics on large-scale industrial or data center projects
• Strong experience managing laydown yard operations and material flow in a field environment
• Proven experience managing construction materials such as pipe, steel, electrical, and mechanical components
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to lead field teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to relocate for long-term or short-term field assignments as required
