Materials Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day warehouse operations including inventory control, receiving, transfers, and material handling.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular physical and chemical inventory processes.
• Facilitate the safe movement of parts and maintenance materials into and out of Duke Energy facilities.
• Partner with plant management and staff to prioritize and schedule activities related to power generation maintenance.
• Maintain efficient communication with site procurement and operations to ensure smooth commodity flow.
• Utilize supply chain systems such as MAXIMO and EMAX to manage material processes.

Requirements

• High School/GED degree.
• Valid driver’s license for occasional use of company vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to successfully complete fork-lift, safety, environmental, and supply chain-related training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated experience with inventory or work management systems.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions and time pressures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and customers.
