About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize complex photopolymer formulations to push the boundaries of additive manufacturing
- Lead the end-to-end transition of new materials from lab-scale concepts to commercial launch
- Establish structure-process-property relationships through rigorous experimentation and analytical characterization
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, hardware, and software teams to develop products for the Form 4 platform
- Use knowledge of the 3D printing process and hardware to inform formulation decisions
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in polymer science, chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related field
- Experience developing thermoset materials such as epoxies, urethanes, or acrylates
- Hands-on lab experience conducting experiments and analyzing large data sets
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to organize complex data and create SOPs
- Ability to work autonomously and drive projects forward in a fast-paced R&D environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies
- Proficiency in programming and digital analysis tools such as Python, JMP, MATLAB, or Minitab
- Experience with high-performance polymers, composites, or elastomers
- Track record of success in publication, IP generation, or product commercialization
