Materials Scientist (Atom Probe Tomography)

Responsibilities

• Prepare APT specimens using Focused Ion Beam (FIB) technology
• Operate CAMECA LEAP instruments for high-precision data acquisition
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and coordinate with vendors to minimize downtime
• Conduct data processing, analysis, and clear documentation of analytical findings
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated microscopy projects
• Deliver high-quality APT analysis to meet the needs of demanding semiconductor clients

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Atom Probe Tomography (APT)
• Proven experience preparing samples using FIB for APT or TEM
• U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Political Asylee/Refugee) for ITAR compliance
• Ability to handle delicate, chip-sized samples with high precision

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with transmission electron microscopy (TEM)
• Familiarity with automated specimen fabrication using FIB/SEM systems
• Knowledge of semiconductor technologies and manufacturing processes
• Experience with APT data analysis using customized coding programs
