Materials Receiver

Responsibilities

• Prepare and pack outgoing shipments in accordance with established procedures and standards
• Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other required documentation
• Receive incoming materials and products, verifying accuracy against packing lists
• Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and report issues to appropriate personnel
• Unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment
• Maintain organized and accurate inventory records using inventory management software
• Conduct regular cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality control departments to ensure seamless operations
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment

Requirements

• Proven experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and computer systems
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Must be able to read and write in English
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a warehouse environment
