Materials Planning Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and production efficiency.
• Assess production capacity and resource availability to ensure alignment with demand forecasts and recommend capacity adjustments.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to minimize excess inventory and carrying costs.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and coordinate delivery schedules.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory turns.
• Work with sales, marketing, and engineering departments to incorporate market trends and product changes into production plans.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the production planning team to foster accountability and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in operations management, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Oracle ERP and advanced planning tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data trends.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
