Materials Planning Manager

Responsibilities

• Own material costs by managing inventory health and supplier delivery
• Convert demand and production plans into actionable purchasing activity
• Build and lead a team of planners, buyers, and inventory analysts
• Lead day-to-day material planning and purchasing to support production schedules
• Manage inventory health across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Drive cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and reconciliation
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to align materials availability
• Drive continuous improvement of planning and purchasing processes using Lean and Six Sigma principles

Requirements

• 2+ years of progressive experience in material planning, operational purchasing, or supply chain planning
• 1 year of experience as a team leader with direct reports
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Demonstrated success managing inventory levels and working capital in manufacturing or distribution
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort with large data sets and BI tools
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or Engineering preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain certification
• Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, o9, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder)
• Lean or Six Sigma certification
• Experience supporting S&OP/IBP
• Experience in a regulated industry such as food and beverage
