Materials Planner Sr

Responsibilities

• Build strong, proactive relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent part availability and uninterrupted production support.
• Own all Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters for assigned part numbers to ensure accuracy and optimal inventory levels.
• Interpret and act on production demand signals to translate schedules into material needs.
• Coordinate engineering change timing for current-production products to ensure smooth transitions.
• Collaborate daily with Purchasing, Production, Supply Chain, and Engineering to resolve issues and support build plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of shop order planning and purchasing experience, OR
• Master's degree and no experience, OR
• At least 3 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite for data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers and cross-functional plant teams.
