Materials Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop staff through effective onboarding, training, coaching, and growth opportunities.
• Oversee inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials management operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system through cycle counts and physical inventory events.
• Promote a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing organizational standards and supporting safe work practices.
• Manage departmental expenses by identifying cost-saving opportunities and monitoring budget variances.
• Drive achievement of departmental objectives by organizing workflows and improving process effectiveness.
• Establish clear performance expectations and goals that align with organizational priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of related management or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams).
• Experience in budget tracking, quality management, and safety management.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to and learn proprietary software programs.
