About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end material flow, including inbound materials, production scheduling, inventory control, and outbound shipping.
- Manage production scheduling by balancing customer demand, production capacity, and material availability.
- Lead daily operations across warehouse, shipping, and scheduling teams to ensure alignment with production plans.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with production, procurement, customer service, and logistics for accurate order fulfillment.
- Oversee inventory management, cycle counts, and material planning to optimize stock levels.
- Manage relationships with carriers and external vendors, including performance monitoring and cost management.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement lean practices and process improvements.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members through performance management and training.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, scheduling, warehouse, or shipping.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred), MRP, and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and production planning systems.
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, including prolonged standing/walking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must follow PPE and safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and complex problem-solving capabilities.
