Materials Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform daily analysis using manufacturing and materials systems (MRP/ERP), spreadsheets, and handheld scanners to process transactions and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy using Boeing databases and identify discrepancies for elevation.
• Issue and route tools, parts, and materials to shop personnel while maintaining strict inventory control.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and overhead hoists, to move freight and unload containers.
• Inspect incoming materials, hardware, and shipments for defects, damage, or identification errors.
• Maintain 5S processes for organization, cleanliness, and proper labeling/FIFO processes.
• Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Coordinate the issue and return of tools and maintain required certification and calibration records.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in materials management, warehousing, supply support, or a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of experience using software applications including Microsoft Office and internet navigation.
• Ability to walk constantly throughout a work shift (6+ hours).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Must be a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional groups.
• Ability to work in a schedule-driven, high-volume production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret part numbers, labels, packing lists, and simple technical documentation.
