Materials Management and Transportation Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and integrate employee activities across multiple areas in materials management and transportation
• Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies, and set operational goals
• Provide technical management of suppliers and lead continuous process improvements
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
• Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes
• Manage, develop, and motivate a team of hourly, represented team members
• Ensure a mindset of safety and quality while influencing the team to exhibit Boeing values

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Materials Management
• 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale project management)
• Willingness and ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support mission requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
• 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Supplier Management, or Procurement practices
• 5+ years of experience with materials planning or inventory control in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry
• Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, risk identification, and complex problem-solving
• Experience expediting products through a production system to meet emergent customer demand
