Materials Line Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to materials team members to meet departmental goals and production objectives
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and training to support efficient daily operations
• Promote a safe work environment and escalate safety, quality, or performance issues
• Train team members on safety protocols, quality standards, and standardized work procedures
• Allocate manpower effectively based on operational needs and production priorities
• Utilize computer systems for data access, documentation, and reporting
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and productivity
• Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts, tuggers, and pallet jacks

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn company systems
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment safely
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and strong attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
• Prior leadership or team lead experience
• Previous mechanical or materials handling experience
• Experience with Navision or hand/air tool gauges
