Materials Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare elements, space, and environment required for material testing and trials
• Manipulate samples and execute authorized tests according to NTC-ISO/IEC 17025 standards
• Perform field testing and verify sample traceability and quantities
• Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities in optimal technical and hygienic conditions
• Complete all testing records and ensure client information confidentiality
• Drive and maintain the assigned vehicle and machinery in perfect working order
• Collect material samples from projects or construction sites efficiently
• Ensure continuous improvement of the Quality Management System

Requirements

• High school diploma (Bachiller)
• Technical degree in soil, concrete, materials laboratory, or related field
• 3 years of experience as a laboratory technician in construction material quality control (or 1 year depending on specific technical background)
• Ability to drive and operate assigned vehicles and machinery
• Knowledge of NTC-ISO/IEC 17025 standards
